Teso College Aloet Marks a Day of Confirmation and Candidate Blessings
Teso College Aloet, Soroti — 11 October 2026
Teso College Aloet today marked a memorable day of faith, prayer, and spiritual reflection, bringing together students, members of the school community, and other faithful for two significant occasions: the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation for Catholic students and community members, and the blessing of the 2026 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) candidates.
The celebrations provided an opportunity for the Teso College Aloet community to strengthen its commitment to faith, recognise the importance of spiritual growth, and seek God’s guidance for students preparing to undertake their national examinations.
Celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation
The Confirmation ceremony was a significant milestone in the spiritual lives of the Catholic students and members of the wider community who received the sacrament. Confirmation strengthens the bond of the faithful with the Church and deepens their commitment to living according to Christian values.
For the students, the occasion served as a reminder that education goes beyond academic achievement. It also involves developing good character, strengthening one’s faith, embracing responsibility, and learning to serve others with humility and compassion.
The participation of community members further reflected the importance of shared faith, fellowship, and collective spiritual growth. Such celebrations bring people together in prayer and reinforce the values of love, unity, discipline, and mutual respect that contribute to a strong and supportive community.
At Teso College Aloet, the spiritual development of learners remains an important part of nurturing well-rounded individuals who can make meaningful contributions to their families, communities, and the nation.
Blessing of the 2026 UCE/UACE Candidates
The school community also gathered to pray for and bless the 2026 UCE and UACE candidates as they prepare for their national examinations. This important occasion offered an opportunity to entrust the candidates to God’s care and seek His guidance throughout their examination period.
As the candidates approach this important stage of their academic journey, the school recognises the dedication, perseverance, and preparation required to achieve their goals. The blessing served as a source of encouragement, reminding the learners to remain focused, disciplined, confident, and committed to their studies.
Through prayers, the school community sought God’s blessings upon the candidates, asking for wisdom, understanding, good health, peace of mind, courage, and success in their examinations.
The occasion also highlighted the importance of balancing academic preparation with spiritual well-being. While hard work, revision, and personal discipline remain essential to examination success, faith can provide encouragement, hope, and strength as candidates face the challenges ahead.
The school encourages all candidates to approach their examinations with confidence, honesty, determination, and a positive attitude, trusting in the knowledge and skills they have acquired throughout their studies.
Nurturing Academic Excellence and Spiritual Growth
The two occasions reflect the importance Teso College Aloet attaches to the holistic development of its learners. By bringing together academic preparation and spiritual formation, the school continues to encourage students to grow intellectually, morally, socially, and spiritually.
The Confirmation ceremony highlighted the importance of faith and Christian responsibility, while the blessing of candidates emphasised the value of prayer, perseverance, and hope during a crucial period in the learners’ academic lives.
These celebrations also demonstrated the value of a united school community in supporting students. The encouragement and prayers of teachers, parents, religious leaders, and fellow students can help candidates remain motivated and approach their examinations with greater confidence.
As a learning institution committed to nurturing responsible and capable young people, Teso College Aloet recognises that success is not measured by academic results alone, but also by the values, discipline, integrity, and sense of responsibility that learners develop along the way.
Best Wishes to the 2026 Candidates
As the 2026 UCE and UACE candidates prepare to sit their examinations, Teso College Aloet wishes them success and encourages them to remain steadfast in their preparations.
May God grant them wisdom to understand their questions, clarity of thought, strength to persevere, and peace of mind throughout the examination period. May their hard work and dedication yield positive results and open doors to promising opportunities in their future academic and professional journeys.
The school also extends its appreciation to the students, community members, parents, teachers, and all those who continue to support the spiritual and academic growth of the Teso College Aloet family.
May the blessings of this day continue to inspire faith, unity, discipline, and excellence throughout the school community.
